June 16, 2008 at 9:54 am

Last year, Katja Koukkula and Jussi Väänänen won the first Eurovision Dance contest in London 2007.

This year, the winning pair is made up of Maria Lund and Mikko Ahti, who won Tanssii tähtien kanssa (Dances with stars) last night.
The pair will have the opportunity to repeat victory on September 6th in Glasgow (Scotland), United Kingdom.
Dancer Maria Lund is the daughter of late Tamara Lund, who was famous singer who did Euroviisut in the 1960’s to try to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest.

This year, Germany and Switzerland have withdrawn and Azerbaijan will debut. Belarus and Cyprus may be possible debuts also (later to be determined).
So far six countries have decided; Austria, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine.
