It’s Greece’s time to decide! The Greek National Final review
February 28, 2008 at 12:57 am

It was Greece’s time to decide this evening and as in every important show around Europe, esctime.com is here to do the show’s review! The evening started with the two hosts appearing on stage singing and dancing in a show that didn’t quite reminded national final rather than a musical with the theme taken from the movie “Cabaret”. The show was moving painfully slowly until the time for the three song to be presented arrived:

1. Chrispa-A chance to love: It was a very powerful song with Chrispa, who looked fabulous in her white outfit, singing and dancing with 5 more male dancers. Though the song was really really good, it was its flat performance that banned Chrispa from winning the ticket for the ESC.

2. Kostas Martakis-Always & Forever: The scene turned white while Kostas was performonig his song. The song’s orchestration was changed dramatically only days before the national final and the result was nevertheless impressive. The song was ok but it seemed that something was really missing form Kostas performance.

3. Kalomira-Secret Combination: The evening’s winner! Kalomira looked outstanding in her J’Lo outfit and she did remind me a bit of Jennifer Lopez on stage. She showed that she aint the cute little girl we met at the music reality “Fame Story”. The song has oriental rythm and it’s was the best from the very start to represent Greece to the contest.

On tonight’s national final, four participant’s from this year’s E.S.C. performed their songs on stage. Evdokia Kadi for Cyprus was the first to appear on stage performing Femme Fatale in a very different way than the Cypriot Final. Next was the representatives of Azerbaijan, Slovenia with Rebbeka and Romania.

Good luck Greece!!!
