Earlier today, the European Broadcasting Union launched the official website of the 2008 Eurovision Dance Contest. As the event comes closer, the website will be gradually expanded with more information. The address is www.eurovisiondance.tv.
The new website features updated graphics and is now part of the online Eurovision Family. This means that you can also log on with your MyEurovision account details, receive regular email updates and comment stories on your MyEurovision blog page. You can also post any news item to Digg or your Facebook profile, or send it to your Facebook contacts.
The website of the Eurovision Dance Contest was produced by the Eurovision TV Interactive Unit. “With the website, we hope to bring this relatively young member of the family under the attention of a broad audience. It is going to be a fantastic show on the 6th of September, and the website is a very useful tool to bring across that message,” Sietse Bakker, Manager Communications & PR of the Eurovision Family of Events, said.
The Eurovision Dance Contest took place for the first time in 2007. The 2008 running of the show takes place on the 6th of September in Glasgow, Scotland. The Eurovision Dance Contest is a production of Sunset+Vine and Splash Media, and is brought to you by BBC Scotland and the European Broadcasting Union.
