 The Junior Planet Festival 2008 is an online song contest organized for the first time from ESCTIME.COM in collaboration with Flash Magazine. In contest can take part children from 9 to 16 and have to live in the country which they will represent in the contest at least 2 ½ years.
This online song contest is based on Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The role of the participating broadcaster will have sites. The participating websites have to decide in which way they select their entry which will represent their own country in Junior Planet Festival 2008.
They can hold a national final (the number of the songs can be decided by the team of the site) and select their song that they will be represented in Junior Planet Festival 2008. Also they have the chance to select internally the song and the singer of the song.
The song can be an original song or a song which already released. The songs have to be from 2:30 to 3:00 minutes.
The websites can express their interest to take part in the contest until 10 of July 2008. The participation is free of fees. The songs have to be submitted until 21 of July 2008. Every participation have to be send with an mp3 version of the song, a video clip of the song a photo of the participant and a biography of the participant.
The final of the contest will take place on 26 of July at 20:00 CET and will be broadcasted thought internet and the platform Mogulus.com (http://www.mogulus.com). The show will be live but the performances will not be live. The show will be hosted by Christina Christofi, the Cypriot representative in Junior Eurovision 2006 which takes place in Bucharest, Romania.
The winner of the contest will be determinate by an international voting to the viewers of the contest. Also an expert jury will vote in the contest which the members of the jury will be decided by the organizing team. The names of the jury will be announced on the live show. A scoreboard will be prepared and every country have to appoint a spokesperson to announce the votes of the country.
